UK/USA Horse Racing Name Poet "Journey of the Horses" Volume III publication coming in limited print run for 1st printing; written in London/USA by Joseph A Pasquale.
Foreword by Author Joseph A Pasquale:
This special limited print poetry collection of less than 10 print copies titled, “UK/USA Horse Racing Poet: Journey of the Horses Volume III” was constructed only strictly through the use of horse racing names at current tracks across the UK/USA. Most of these constructions took place on the same day of the races in late-May into early-July 2024. The earlier portion of this book includes poem/senryu constructions mostly in America on same day as the races took place in early January 2024; a few from 2023.
How it all began? Being a poet, inspiration struck unexpectedly while I attended a horse race while taking a rest from writing prose. It just so happened that I couldn’t help but to suddenly discover meaning in every name attached to those lovely animals. Soon after, word associations fell into place and an experimental form of expression was born - a poetry collection constructed exclusively through the use of horse racing name combinations.
Now, most of the UK/Ireland Horse Racing Name Poems used in this collection were constructed in London: on 138a King’s Road in Chelsea, as well as many on Sloane Avenue at my Cloisters Hotel room, or at The Good Life Eatery on 59 Sloane Avenue.
Most of the UK/Ireland Horse Racing Name Poems were used in my artistic Horse Racing Name Poem/Senryu expressions through photography throughout London and also on toilet paper, napkins and other forms of receipts and everyday society stationary.
Toilet paper expressions have been finalized on Starbucks Toilet Paper in dedication to Berkshire Hathaway’s Annual Meeting on 150th Kentucky Derby Day, as well as Café Concerto Toilet Paper from Kings Road, and a toilet paper roll from Thomas Cubitt Pub, an airline ticket from British Airways, and much more to name just a few.
Various constructions will further take place utilizing these poems/senryu within on various forms of societal artifact and through a new societal lens of multi-layered poetic/senryuiac expression explored – expressed through photography, video, art and three dimensional artifact.
While constructing these poems using strictly only horses racing on the same day as the poetic construction, there is a significant challenge of time and choice, meaning and message, emotion and purpose which most be overcome.
While constructing these senryuiac poems, I also do my best to mine away the most hidden and pleasurable expressions to help improve human awareness of fault, hope and meaning in a world full of self-fulfilling suffering; as all too often we are our own worst enemies. In this, I also do my best to search out and discover those most meaningful messages of the human experience which are needed to inspire positive change in the human condition – all through the inspiration of those lovely horses running for their lives to appease our curiosity. Hopefully you’ll discover the same meaning I found.
Alas, this has been another set of miniature tales and memoirs resulting from my latest Journey of the Horses; not only in America, but also in London, and UK/Ireland.
All Horse Racing Name Poems and Senryu
100% human created by Joseph A Pasquale, as always –
I never use artificial intelligence to construct.
I hope this journey is rewarding and pleasurable. -JAP. 7/12/24 9:05am
